This monthly newsletter is a wonderful, fun resource for all information related to our club!
President's Message
It looks like March is going out like a lamb...
At our last regular meeting, we met at Prairiewoods in Hiawatha and heard from Wendy Stokesbary, LMHC. She dove into trauma-informed care, self-compassion, self-reflection, thought stopping technniques, and the importance of nurturing our soil so we can show up and be present in life. Recommended resources can be found in the newsletter under "March Club Activities."
This month, we have two exciting meetings planed. First, join us on Wed 4/10 at our new regular meeting location, Biaggi's, to hear a presentation from Families Helping Families (FHF), followed by a club planning meeting. We highly encourage you attend this meeting to celebrate finding a new location and to hear about our new partnership with FHF. Food and drink service will be available and encouraged. Second, join us on Wed 4/24 at the Lester Buresh Center in Mt. Vernon for self-defense training, led by Jeff Schmatt. Any member who wishes to receive hands-on self-defense training needs sign a form to participate. You can download the form here or get one at LBC on the night of the training.
Erin has sent this in recent communications and I want to re-iterate the imporance of responding to this survey so we can help John plan his year as president. "As we move forward scheduling monthly service projects, we would like to know what works best for you. If you have not already, please take a second to respond to this one-question survey: https://forms.gle/2qFV6TdTpPM25hUT7."
